At some point most spinners come across a reference to Longdraw spinning. It is one of those techniques that looks so easy when done well and then can be very frustrating for newcomers to master. This video goes into the process from what carders to use and what fibre is most suitable, to how to card really well. It then shows you how to draft for proper English Longdraw in order to produce light and airy lofty yarns which are the desired end result of this technique. I have taught this technique for over 30 years and was lucky enough to be invited to tutor it at Majacrafts summer camps in Australia and New Zealand in 2019.
